Therefore, a good monitoring system should be developed to keep tract of the breathing situation of oneself in a convenient way.
iSonea is the device which fits all the requirements. The device works with smartphones. It is placed against the neck and allowed to record the sounds that breathing generates. This data is sent to a smartphone app (AsthmaSense) where it is analyzed, results are provided, and recorded for monitoring of long term trends.
My thoughts on the device:
This is absolutely helpful to asthma patients as they can keep tract of the situation by themselves. This reduces lots of risks that asthma will bring to people. Also with this device, people with Asthma can be more alert. However, people in poor areas are difficult to afford this device.
